Dentures at Falcon Dental

Losing teeth can significantly impact your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Whether you’ve lost some or all of your natural teeth, Dentures offer a time-tested and effective solution to restore your smile’s appearance and function. Modern dentures are more comfortable, natural-looking, and better fitting than ever before.

At Falcon Dental, we understand the importance of a complete smile. We offer various types of custom-designed dentures to help you regain your quality of life, allowing you to eat your favorite foods, speak clearly, and smile brightly once again.

Types of Dentures We Offer:

1. Complete (Full) Dentures

Complete dentures are designed for patients who have lost all of their teeth in either the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. They consist of a full set of artificial teeth set in a gum-colored acrylic base that fits snugly over your gums.

  • Conventional Dentures: Made and placed in your mouth after all remaining teeth have been removed and the gum tissues have healed. This healing process usually takes several months.
  • Immediate Dentures: Fabricated in advance and placed immediately after the removal of your remaining teeth. This ensures you don’t have to be without teeth during the healing period. Adjustments will be needed as your gums heal and shrink.
2. Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are an ideal solution when some natural teeth still remain in the jaw. They consist of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base, connected by a metal or acrylic framework that clasps onto your natural teeth. Partial dentures fill the gaps created by missing teeth, prevent remaining natural teeth from shifting, and improve chewing function and aesthetics.

3. Implant-Supported Dentures (Overdentures)

For enhanced stability and comfort, implant-supported dentures (also known as overdentures) offer a superior alternative to traditional removable dentures. These dentures snap securely onto a few strategically placed dental implants in your jawbone.

  • Improved Stability: Eliminates slipping, clicking, and discomfort associated with loose dentures.
  • Better Chewing Power: Allows you to eat a wider variety of foods with confidence.
  • Maintains Jawbone: Dental implants help stimulate the jawbone, preventing the bone loss that often occurs with traditional dentures.
  • Increased Comfort: Reduced movement means less irritation to the gums.

The Denture Process

Crafting your custom dentures typically involves several appointments:

  1. Initial Consultation & Evaluation: We will assess your oral health, discuss your needs and preferences, and recommend the best type of denture for you.
  2. Impressions & Models: Precise impressions of your mouth are taken to create accurate molds.
  3. Wax Try-ins: We create wax models of the dentures to test the fit, bite, and appearance. You’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback and approve the look before the final denture is made.
  4. Final Placement & Adjustments: Once your custom dentures are fabricated, we will ensure a comfortable fit and make any necessary adjustments. Follow-up appointments may be needed for minor adjustments as you adapt to your new dentures.

Caring for Your Dentures

Proper care is essential to keep your dentures clean, functional, and extend their lifespan. We will provide you with detailed instructions on:

  • How to clean your dentures daily.
  • How to properly remove and reinsert them.
  • The best way to store them overnight.
  • The importance of regular dental check-ups, even if you have no natural teeth, to maintain gum health and check the fit of your dentures.
